Newman Smith Area Band Club (NSABC)
The Newman Smith Area Band Club (NSABC) is the primary support organization
for the NSHS Band. The booster club consists of parents of band members who
join for a nominal fee each year. The NSABC assists the band in a variety
of ways from fitting uniforms, transporting equipment, providing
entertainment, fund raising, selling of spirit wear, chaperoning trips, and
hosting contests. The members of the NSABC are an integral part of the
overall success of the NSHS Bands and provide a great social outlet for
parents, as well as being the most enthusiastic and vocal supporters of Trojan
Band members.
Fund Raising
Among the primary endeavors of the NSABC is the running of all concession
operations at Standridge Stadium and the hosting of two annual events:
These events attract bands from all over the Metroplex and State of Texas
providing valuable exposure to the NSHS Band program, as well as revenue
for the booster club.
Standridge concession operations provide an important source of
fund raising for the annual Spring Trip.
Additionally, Spirit Wear is available for purchase
so that you and your family can show your support for the Band at football
games and contests that the band attends.
